Special Interests
In the special care baby unit at York we have two intensive
care cots to provide intensive life support to very ill or premature babies. We
have modern equipment and have full support from pharmacy to provide nutritional
support to babies who are unable to be fed milk feeds.
We believe in practicing family centred care, and all of our
staff will do their best to support the whole family. We have community special
care sisters who provide support to families in the York and Selby area who have
had premature infants.
York
SCBU has an active Special
Care Baby Unit Support Group which provides support to parents and is
actively involved in fundraising for our unit. Click on the logo to visit their
website.
Fundraising Information
Our Speacial Care Baby Unit Support Group is actively involved
in fundraising. If you would like to make a donation to our unit please contact
